Is the cake on fire, cause that's alot of candles.
It is hard to believe that we have a 13 year old. Braxton turned 13 on January 7th. Geesh, where has all the time gone. I can remember bringing my little baby home from the hospital (really not so little, he looked like a middle linebacker at 22 1/2 inches long and 8 lbs 7 oz). We were stationed in Chicago at the time and the night I went into labor it was snowing a blizzard. The snow was coming down so fast that the snow plows quit plowing the streets until it stopped. For those of you who don't know Clint was in the Navy for 6 years. Braxton was the first grandchild for both sides of our family and he really was treated with lots of love and gifts. I look at him now and search for that little boy face, but it has disappeared and his voice is no longer sweet sounding, but very deep and manly as he would say. I do however see that little boy when I look into his eyes. He will forever be my baby, but don't let his friends know.
As for the rest of the family, we are recovering from Christmas and entering the new year. I am still writing 2007 on my checks. Davis told me to write 2008 a 100 times and maybe I would remember. Davis is lively and active as ever! We are getting ready to enter the baseball season with Davis, so my life will become consumed with the ball park. I really rather enjoy it and look forward to it this year. I hope we don't freeze like last year. One of Davis' team mates last year was crying because it was so cold outside that night. The next game we had a heater in the dug out to keep the boys warm. This will be Brooklynn's first baseball season with us. She loves football and will say Touchdown when they score. It is really cute to see. She might even give you a ROLL TIDE or two.
Brooklynn is getting ready to have her second surgery on the 6th of February. This will put her in the hospital for about 2 days and a recover period of about a month or two. We are just ready to get this over with as it is our last hurdle for a while. She went to her second playdate this last Monday and had alot of fun. All she has been talking about since then is Lily Mei. We are trying to make this a regular thing for these little ones. They really enjoy playing with each other. Brooklynn right now is stuck on watching the Little Mermaid. She loves that movie! We are planning a trip to Disney this Fall and I am almost scared that we will have to watch the live show of the Little Mermaid a bunch of times. I have been introducing her to other shows, but for now we are the Little Mermaid.
Clint and I have been swaping sickness with each other. I told him not to share anymore!! We recently went out of town to Nashville for the weekend. It was nice to be with each other without the mix of kids. We went to the Grand Ole Opry and where able to see Charlie Daniels. This is the first year I actually liked it and was not Blue Grass to death. A little Blue Grass goes a long way for me. Brooklynn did very well while away. She just had a couple of episodes, but the little mermaid saved the day. Well that is all for now! I will try to post more often, so you dont have to read a novel next time.
